Over 70% of the cargo passing through the Port of Dar-es-Salaam to neighboring countries comes from Tanzania via the Tunduma border. The Executive Director of Public Private Partnership (PPPC) Mr. David Kafulila explained in 360 Television program of Clouds tv on 19th August 2024, said for that reason it makes Tunduma to be the busiest border point in East Africa, making it a prime opportunity for investors.
